Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year impact potential
- Develop and maintain the 2026 technology roadmap for AI, IoT, and quantum computing
- Produce monthly trend reports with actionable insights for executive stakeholders
- Coordinate with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-forward solutions
- Represent the company at global tech summits and innovation forums
- Mentor junior futurists through our Future Leaders program
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate foresight into development cycles
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership role
- Proven track record of forecasting market trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or major tech publications
- Advanced degree in Technology Foresight, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in trend analysis tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Deloitte Tech Trends)
- Experience securing $1M+ innovation budgets
- Exceptional presentation skills for C-level and investor audiences
