Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (2026-2030)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen AI and quantum applications
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive tech trends and market opportunities
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future tech into corporate vision
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Author thought leadership publications on societal impact of 2026 tech
- Oversee development of ethical frameworks for autonomous and biotech systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Bioengineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or unicorn tech companies
- Published research in Nature/Science on AI, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Expertise in regulatory compliance for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, EPA)
- Proven track record of securing >$10M in innovation funding
- Deep understanding of exponential technology convergence (AI + Quantum + Biotech)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Public speaking experience at TED, Web Summit, or equivalent forums
