Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology foresight framework for 2026, identifying emerging trends and disruptive innovations
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for sustainability, AI ethics, and quantum computing applications
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate technological disruptions affecting global markets
- Author thought leadership publications and present strategic roadmaps at industry conferences
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into commercial offerings
- Build and manage an external network of academic researchers and startup founders
- Secure and manage R&D grants for forward-looking technology initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Proven track record in technology forecasting and innovation strategy development
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech publications
- Experience securing federal or corporate R&D grants exceeding $1M
- Proficiency in scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning tools
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
