Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for emerging tech disruptions (2024-2026)
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate futuristic solutions into product development
- Present foresight reports to Fortune 500 partners and industry consortiums
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets for experimental tech incubation
- Mentor junior futurists and build external thought leadership networks
- Monitor global patent landscapes and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or futurist consulting
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (e.g., MIT Tech Review)
- Experience with horizon scanning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and executive domains
- Portfolio demonstrating successful tech disruption forecasting
