Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and designers in prototyping next-gen systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Present futuristic vision to C-suite executives and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Drive ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine augmentation
- Secure multi-million dollar innovation grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies with $50M+ commercial impact
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Published research in Nature/Science with 500+ citations in future-tech domains
- Experience securing federal innovation grants and managing large-scale R&D budgets
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex technological ecosystems
- Portfolio demonstrating 2026-relevant innovations (patents, prototypes, or conceptual frameworks)
