Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technological, social, and economic trends to forecast industry shifts through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive innovations and market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-state strategies
- Produce trend reports and whitepapers published in industry journals and conferences
- Advise executive leadership on long-term R&D priorities and market entry strategies
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
- Quantify future market opportunities through predictive modeling and data analytics
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published research on technological convergence or societal transformation trends
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Proven ability to translate complex future scenarios into actionable business strategies
- Strong public speaking experience at global innovation forums (e.g., Davos, TED)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-oriented product launches
