Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum systems with fault tolerance
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical quantum annealing implementations
- Lead cross-functional research projects in quantum cryptography and secure communication
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Stay current with emerging quantum computing frameworks and industry standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum annealing and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Proven ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
