Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Oversee implementation of quantum error correction protocols at scale
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify and solve high-impact quantum computing challenges
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants and partnerships
- Present breakthrough findings at top-tier conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of quantum innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design, quantum error correction, or quantum hardware optimization
- Experience leading quantum research teams with demonstrated project delivery
- Strong background in at least one quantum computing framework (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
- Excellent grant writing and stakeholder communication skills
