Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum computing applications and neuro-interfaces
- Develop 10-year innovation roadmaps aligned with global sustainability goals
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budgets across international teams
- Secure strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and EU innovation labs
- Translate theoretical concepts into scalable MVPs with 18-month deployment cycles
- Present future-tech forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging tech ethics and regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation or R&D leadership with proven 5+ year strategic impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech publications
- Successful track record of launching products with 3+ year market foresight
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies preferred
- Fluency in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for high-risk/high-reward projects
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and emerging regulatory landscapes
