Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with global sustainability targets
- Lead R&D initiatives in AI-driven automation, carbon-neutral systems, and decentralized networks
- Forge strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and Fortune 500 leaders
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants and venture capital for future-focused projects
- Mentor a diverse team of 15+ engineers and futurists
- Present breakthrough concepts to C-suite executives and industry stakeholders
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
- Monitor emerging tech trends and geopolitical shifts affecting 2026 forecasts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology leadership with 5+ years in innovation strategy or R&D
- Proven track record scaling disruptive products to $100M+ ARR
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, circular economy models, or quantum applications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent tier publications
- Experience securing federal grants (SBIR, DARPA) or international innovation funding
- Fluency in scenario planning tools and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ market-defining innovations launched post-2020
