Responsibilities
- Anticipate and map global technological, social, and economic shifts through horizon scanning and scenario modeling
- Develop strategic frameworks for emerging domains (quantum biology, neuro-interfaces, climate engineering)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and policy teams
- Produce visionary white papers and roadmaps for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, governments, and emerging tech startups
- Design ethical guardrails for breakthrough technologies to ensure responsible deployment
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts and junior strategists
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology strategy
- Proven track record of translating complex futures into business strategy
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and scenario planning
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for communicating abstract futures
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete information
