Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies, market shifts, and societal trends impacting 2026-2030
- Develop and present future scenarios to executive leadership, with quantified risk/reward analyses
- Architect cross-functional innovation roadmaps aligning with 2026 strategic objectives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and think tanks
- Design and implement foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi studies, trend analysis)
- Present compelling future narratives to stakeholders, investors, and board members
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an organizational culture of anticipatory thinking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist role
- Proven track record developing 5-10 year strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and geopolitical trends
- Exceptional data storytelling and scenario-planning skills
- Experience with foresight methodologies (e.g., STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-strategy implementation
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from the Association of Professional Futurists)
