Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap, aligning with corporate vision and market evolution
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating breakthrough technologies (quantum computing, advanced AI, biotech convergence)
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging trends with 2026 commercialization potential
- Design governance frameworks for ethical AI and responsible innovation deployment
- Present strategic briefings to executive leadership and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $50M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPI tracking
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation or technology leadership with proven 5-year planning success
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, generative AI, synthetic biology, or neurotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with specialization in futurism
- Portfolio of successfully commercialized future-focused initiatives
- Certification in technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Experience scaling innovation from R&D to market leadership
- Executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite decisions
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed innovation journals
