This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, creative foresight, and strategic execution to navigate the complex landscape of 2026 and beyond.
In this pivotal position, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, lead cross-functional innovation sprints, and develop scenario-based strategies that anticipate technological disruptions, market shifts, and societal evolutions. You'll be instrumental in transforming foresight into actionable business initiatives that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends and emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) to identify strategic opportunities for 2026
- Develop and maintain the organization's 2026 strategic foresight framework and scenario planning models
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into innovation roadmaps and product development priorities
- Author high-impact thought leadership and predictive briefings for executive stakeholders and industry forums
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track strategic alignment with 2026 market projections
- Build and manage an external network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers
- Present strategic recommendations to the board of directors and influence high-stakes decision-making
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Technology Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented strategies for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies (GenAI, Web3, advanced robotics, etc.) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Thinking (e.g., from ACIF or similar institution)
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks for 2020-2030 horizons
