Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year strategic roadmaps by analyzing technological, economic, and socio-political megatrends
- Develop predictive models for disruptive innovations (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with actionable recommendations for executive leadership
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align teams on emerging opportunities and threats
- Establish partnerships with academic labs, startups, and think tanks for trend scouting
- Advise product development teams on future-proofing technologies and market positioning
- Present foresight insights to investors and board members to secure strategic funding
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or equivalent experience (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and causal layered analysis
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI/ML, synthetic biology, quantum systems)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend analyses or future-vision frameworks
