Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps for AI/ML, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to identify disruptive market opportunities
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype next-gen solutions (AR/VR, autonomous systems)
- Present strategic insights to investors and board members quarterly
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets across emerging tech verticals
- Mentor junior futurists in trend analysis and strategic foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futuristics, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning at Fortune 500 or scale-up tech firms
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum, generative AI, climate tech
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (whitepapers, patents)
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Strong financial modeling skills for innovation portfolio management
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful tech commercialization projects
