Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts impacting 2026
- Architect and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with company's 2026 strategic objectives
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to ideate and prototype next-gen solutions
- Develop patentable frameworks for emerging domains like quantum computing and neural interfaces
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with rigorous ROI tracking
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, technology consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology forecasting, and innovation methodologies
- Strong network with academic institutions and research labs (MIT, Stanford, etc.)
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futurism domains
- Experience scaling innovation teams in high-growth tech environments
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFPC, APF) preferred
