Responsibilities
- Develop and implement horizon-scanning methodologies to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends relevant to 2026+
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops using design thinking and scenario planning frameworks
- Produce strategic foresight reports and roadmaps translating future trends into actionable business opportunities
- Manage a portfolio of experimental ventures and moonshot projects with dedicated innovation budgets
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and emerging tech startups
- Present future scenarios to executive leadership and board members to inform strategic decisions
- Mentor innovation teams in applying foresight methodologies to product development
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, Technology Strategy, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic foresight, corporate innovation, or technology trend analysis
- Proven track record of translating future scenarios into successful commercial initiatives
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies including quantum computing, biotech convergence, and AI ethics
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex future concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience managing innovation portfolios with measurable ROI
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or implemented innovation strategies
