Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional '2026 Innovation Sprints' with R&D and product teams
- Produce quarterly trend reports with actionable business implications
- Partner with Stanford/MIT on future-focused research initiatives
- Design scenario-planning workshops for C-suite decision-makers
- Curate an annual 'Future Horizons' summit with industry pioneers
- Mentor internal 'Innovation Catalysts' in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and technology roadmapping
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-focused research or patents
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Proficiency in futures tools (Delphi method, STEEP analysis, backcasting)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 boards on disruptive innovation
- Deep understanding of exponential tech convergence patterns
- Track record of translating foresight into commercial ventures
