Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, biotech, AR/VR) and translate findings into actionable strategic plans
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for tech adoption in 2026+ markets
- Chair cross-functional innovation workshops with engineers, designers, and product managers
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for cutting-edge R&D
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, technology consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with 85%+ accuracy
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Strategy
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, blockchain, etc.)
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Exceptional data modeling and visualization capabilities for complex systems
- Published author or keynote speaker at major tech conferences
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight preferred
