Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations in electronic health records
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Support patient activities of daily living and emotional wellbeing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CNA certification or medical assistant training preferred
- Minimum 1 year healthcare experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Fri/Sat/Sun)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
