Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun, 6 AM-6 PM)
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries
- Administer medications and vaccinations following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment schedules
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Handle patient inquiries and provide clear after-care instructions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Ability to work independently during high-volume weekend shifts
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish preferred
- Flexibility to cover occasional holiday shifts as needed
