Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities to ensure all operations run smoothly and meet established quality and productivity standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and implement procedures to minimize shrinkage and improve stock accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
- Team Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff, providing coaching and performance feedback to foster a high-performance team culture.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring all machinery is in safe working order.
- Process Improvement: Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Licensure: Valid Forklift Operator Certification required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of inventory control systems (SAP, WMS, or similar) and excellent computer proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Attributes: Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
