Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vitals monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance
- Accurately document patient observations and care activities in EHR systems
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and emergency response protocols
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Support patient comfort during overnight hours with compassionate care
- Respond to call lights and patient requests within established timeframes
Qualifications
- Active CNA, PCT, or EMT certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong documentation skills with proficiency in EHR systems
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- NYC healthcare facility experience highly preferred
