Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments under physician supervision
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with minor procedures
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Coordinate with overnight nursing staff for seamless patient care
- Manage sterilization of equipment and exam room readiness
- Respond to patient inquiries and emergency situations during shift
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
