Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and document changes in electronic health records
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Administer prescribed medications under RN supervision
- Respond to emergency codes and provide first aid assistance
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care
- Transport patients safely within facility using proper techniques
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends
