Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and stabilize emergency patients with acute conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for critical care coordination
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on discharge plans and preventive care
- Participate in rapid response and trauma activations
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active TN RN license required
- BSN preferred (ADN accepted with 2+ years ED experience)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications mandatory
- Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- EMR proficiency (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
