Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Hardware & Software: Diagnose and resolve computer, printer, and network issues for end-users in a timely manner.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional service to employees via phone, email, and in-person, acting as a technical ambassador for the company.
- System Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions in our ticketing system.
- Network Support: Monitor network performance and assist in basic network troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.
- Inventory Management: Help manage IT asset inventory and ensure equipment is properly labeled and tracked.
- Onboarding Assistance: Support the IT team in setting up workstations for new hires and ensuring they are fully operational.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; internship or volunteer experience is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer operating systems (Windows/macOS) and internet browsers.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems logically and efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Soft Skills: A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work well within a team.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to adhere to a standard 9-to-5 schedule.
