Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the conceptualization, design, and testing of liquid hydrogen and methane propulsion systems for next-gen launch vehicles.
- Critical Analysis: Analyze complex thermal dynamics and fluid flow data using advanced CFD tools to optimize engine efficiency and safety margins.
- Prototyping: Oversee the fabrication and integration of propulsion hardware, managing timelines and quality control in a rapid prototyping environment.
- Compliance: Ensure all propulsion designs adhere to strict FAA, NASA, and international space safety regulations and certification standards.
- Crisis Management: Provide technical support and troubleshooting during high-stakes ground testing and simulation scenarios.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field (PhD preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, or rocket engine development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA) and CFD tools (ANSYS, Fluent). Experience with combustion modeling is highly desired.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
