Responsibilities
- Oversee Logistics Operations: Manage the daily flow of goods, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of all shipments.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze current logistics processes to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all stock.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Data Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on shipping performance and logistics metrics for management review.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistics issues under pressure.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
