You'll lead horizon-scanning initiatives, identify disruptive opportunities across AI, biotech, and sustainability, and translate complex futures into compelling narratives that drive organizational evolution.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and maintain innovation roadmaps with 5-year strategic vision
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future opportunities
- Translate foresight insights into product development and business strategy
- Build and manage an ecosystem of futurists, technologists, and industry experts
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members
- Author thought leadership publications on future trends and innovation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic plans
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for complex futures
- Experience managing cross-geographic innovation teams
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFIF) preferred
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
