Are you a seasoned DevOps professional ready to take on a critical role in maintaining high-availability infrastructure? Apex Digital Systems is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our San Jose team. This is a direct hire position requiring weekend shift availability to ensure our systems remain resilient and operational 24/7.
As part of our elite technical team, you will design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in automating deployment processes and handling incident response during off-hours, ensuring our clients receive uninterrupted service.
Responsibilities
- Weekend Maintenance & Support: Oversee critical infrastructure maintenance and system patches during weekend shifts to minimize production impact.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize AWS and Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and cost-efficiency.
- CI/CD Automation: Design and implement automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring & Alerting: Configure advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) to proactively identify and resolve system anomalies.
- Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis (RCA) for critical outages.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security best practices and conduct regular vulnerability assessments on infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Administration.
- Availability: Must be available to work a weekend shift on a rotating schedule.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Linux (Red Hat/CentOS).
- Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC) or Azure services.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go scripting for automation tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
