Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize backend services during the night shift window to ensure zero downtime and high performance.
- Execute code deployments, database migrations, and security patch management when traffic is low.
- Monitor system health using advanced observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Collaborate with the on-call team to resolve critical incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code for high-volume transactional systems.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Deep understanding of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment or rotating night shift schedule.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Go.
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
