Responsibilities
- Architect Future-Proof Frameworks: Design and implement comprehensive AI ethics and compliance policies that anticipate and adapt to the evolving regulatory landscape of 2026 and beyond.
- Algorithm Auditing: Lead the technical assessment of our machine learning models to identify and mitigate biases, ensuring fairness and transparency in decision-making algorithms.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, legal departments, and external regulators to ensure alignment on governance standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct rigorous risk assessments on new AI deployments to ensure data privacy and security compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and future AI Acts).
- Strategic Advisory: Guide executive leadership on the ethical implications of emerging technologies, ensuring long-term sustainability and brand reputation.
- Training & Culture: Foster a culture of ethical innovation across the organization by conducting workshops and training sessions for engineers and product managers.
Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Public Policy, or Ethics, with a focus on AI.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or technology governance, specifically within the AI or Tech sector.
- Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of machine learning concepts, data pipelines, and the technical capabilities/limitations of current AI models.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proven track record of navigating complex regulatory environments and drafting compliant technical documentation.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable policy guidelines for diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
