Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize quantum algorithms for near-term and fault-tolerant quantum computers using languages such as Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#.
- Translate high-level physics concepts into executable quantum circuits and error-correcting codes.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineering teams to understand noise models and develop error mitigation strategies.
- Conduct rigorous benchmarking and performance analysis to push the limits of current quantum hardware capabilities.
- Mentor junior developers and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation and deep technical curiosity.
- Stay at the forefront of the quantum computing landscape, evaluating emerging libraries and research papers to integrate best practices into our stack.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field with a focus on quantum mechanics.
- Proficiency in Python and C++, with demonstrable experience in quantum computing frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Forest).
- Strong understanding of linear algebra, probability theory, and complex systems.
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Google Cloud Quantum AI, or Azure Quantum).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research environment.
- Clear communication skills to explain complex quantum concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
