Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for 2026 quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting quantum processors
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction topologies
- Security clearance eligibility (for DoE collaborations)
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary quantum research teams
