Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate on hardware-software integration for quantum processors
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing principles
- Partner with industry leaders to apply quantum solutions to real-world challenges
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing publications
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills for complex computational challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
