Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems with 10+ qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications in Nature/Science journals by Q4 2025
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DoE partnerships
- Prototype error-corrected quantum processors at room temperature
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum machine learning applications
- Develop patentable IP for quantum-resistant cryptography systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction protocols (surface/low-density parity)
- Experience securing federal research grants ($500K+ preferred)
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into commercial applications
