Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge software-hardware integration
- Lead cross-functional projects with aerospace and pharmaceutical partners
- Publish in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST research grants
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum machine learning frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (2020-2023)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Experience with quantum simulators (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Fluency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing expertise
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
