Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Develop error mitigation strategies for scalable quantum systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing fundamentals
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical models
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum error correction or algorithm design
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, photonic)
- Strong background in complex mathematical analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Track record of securing research funding
