Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications for finance and healthcare
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Develop error-correction frameworks for next-generation quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum supremacy experiments
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (e.g., IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Security clearance preferred for government-funded projects
