Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms with error correction protocols
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit systems at millikelvin temperatures
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical ML frameworks for 2026-era applications
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and IEEE conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with industry partners on quantum cloud infrastructure
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 5+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in topological quantum computing or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Hands-on experience with cryogenic quantum processors (D-Wave/Rigetti)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ for quantum simulation development
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum field theory
