Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing educational initiatives
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for advanced research projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in top quantum computing or information theory journals
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum information theory, or quantum hardware design
- Strong Python/C++ skills with quantum simulation experience
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with machine learning integration in quantum systems preferred
