Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance quantum system stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum circuits
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and neural network implementation
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for novel quantum technologies
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical frameworks (Python, TensorFlow)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Track record of publishing in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL) or major conferences
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving and algorithm optimization
