Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead breakthrough research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop next-generation quantum processors
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design and simulation
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Proven track record of securing government or industry research grants
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
