Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate decoherence in quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and develop patentable quantum computing methodologies
- Partner with industry leaders to implement quantum solutions in finance and healthcare sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Published record in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants from NSF or DARPA
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
