Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures for next-gen quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with product teams to translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial applications
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and competitive landscape analysis
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, quantum error correction, and quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or closely related fields
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects and manage technical teams
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
