Responsibilities
- Lead development of quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Design fault-tolerant quantum architectures resistant to 2026-era cyber threats
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech researchers on quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for quantum hardware prototyping
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum Conferences
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum error correction techniques
- File 3-5 quantum computing patents annually with USPTO
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or decoherence
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Proven track record leading quantum computing projects with $1M+ budgets
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm, Grover's search, and quantum Fourier transforms
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum contracts
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor interfaces
