Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Develop error-corrected quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual research funding
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topology
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Proven track record of securing government/industry grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems
- Leadership in multidisciplinary R&D environments
