Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead a team of 5+ quantum physicists and ML engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for NISQ-era processors
- Partner with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and major conferences
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proven track record of leading technical teams
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
